First Congregational Church of Emporia – Congregational Women’s Fellowship

In the city of Emporia, KS, the First Congregational Church of Emporia has been integral to the community since 1857. The Church celebrates a long history of mission in Emporia and around the world. For the last 15 years, the Congregational Women’s Fellowship has been working to support the Church’s missions by taking part in the Best Choice® Save-A-Label® program. The women of the Congregational Women’s Fellowship work with church members, family, and friends throughout the Emporia area to save and contribute their Best Choice® labels.

Over the years, the group has helped to support church youth activities, community needs, and special mission groups. “One of the projects we enjoy supporting is the Emporia Gazette’s project called Food for Students,” said Kathy O’Mara, Fellowship member. “This project serves food on the weekends to students at a reduced cost or for free.” Ms. O’Mara went on to say the Congregational Women’s Fellowship collects any Best Choice® products used by the program and redeems the labels for the Gazette. The money earned from the labels is given back to the Gazette to continue funding the Food for Students project.
