For nearly seven decades, Children’s Homes, Inc. in Paragould, Arkansas, has been a safe haven for at-risk children and families in need. A faith-based child welfare agency, the organization provides residential and foster care programs, extensive family reunification services, therapy programs including equine and adventure-based options, an on-campus school, and in-depth life-skill training to prepare children for the future.
With a staff of 41 employees, the work of Children’s Homes, Inc. is supported by a remarkable network of hundreds of volunteers and supporters across multiple states. For over 20 years, many of those supporters have participated in the Save-A-Label program, collecting Best Choice Family of Brands product labels to help meet the daily needs of children in care. Labels are mailed, dropped off, or picked up, then carefully trimmed, counted, and returned by a dedicated volunteer and her team who have faithfully led this effort for years.
“The Save-A-Label program enables all of our supporters to be involved in our work,” said CEO Micah Brinkley. “While some might not be able to give actual dollars, they can collect the labels, which we turn into dollars for them.”
Funds from Save-A-Label are used for essential household items, everything from kitchen supplies to bedding ensuring that each home feels safe, welcoming, and cared for. By combining the efforts of employees, volunteers, and community supporters, Children’s Homes, Inc. is creating brighter futures one child at a time.
