For more than a decade, the Grand Island Diocesan Council of Catholic Women have collected Best Choice® labels. Sixty-five parishes in western Nebraska collect labels to ensure fundraising goals are met.
Over the years, $30K has been raised (some donations are outside of Save-A-Label™) to provide clean drinking water to third world countries. Save-A-Label™ funds were also used in 2011 as this organization worked with a group in Haiti to install and repair water wells.
With more local, independent grocers carrying the Best Choice® family of brands popping up in western Nebraska, collecting labels has become easier for the women. Friends, family, and church members actually mailed organizer Judith Wagoner labels in birthday and Christmas cards.
Due to their continued participation in the Save-A-Label™ program, Best Choice® congratulates Grand Island Diocesan Council of Catholic Women as Save-A-Label™ Organization of the Month.
